Sunday Morning...

I'm sitting tucked away on the second floor of our hotel, where there's a bank of computers. Now I can do what I couldn't do from my cell phone, and that's provide links to some of the places we've been to (for the ultra-curious who want to check out the menus or information). So... here we go.

A Bicycle Odyssey - a bike shop in Sausalito where I bought a colorful jersey of a San Francisco backdrop.

City Cycle - A place west of the Cow Hollow area that has always been helpful, and we seem to hit when they're having a 30% off sale. I bought a pair of tights to replace the ones I was using because they had gotten... well... tight. (I haven't expanded over the years, oh...no.)

Pacific Bicycle - Another place we stick our noses into, probably about six blocks away from the hotel. A good first stop to borrow a pump a make sure we've got the tires up to the proper pressure. Valerie found a cute little long sleeve jersey for herself here (in her traditional black, of course).

Blue Bottle Coffee Company - their "Mint Plaza Cafe" is a scant three block walk from here. They don't open until 8:00 AM on Saturdays and Sunday, so I've been hoofing the one block from the hotel to the local Starbucks for her morning coffee. We also order their coffees over the internet and have them shipped to us. They're a little expensive sounding, but it's not so bad when you consider the higher cost is what's paying for their Priority Mail shipping.

Java Beach - The place where I took the train to last night... had a blended mocha that was, for the most part, like a chocolate milkshake. I considered my late night trip a success!

Alioto's - I need to learn how to try new items when we eat out... and I usually do when we're here in San Francisco. I normally try stuff that I've never had... except at Alioto's. They have a dish called Risotto Alioto that is a "must have" when we go there. I figure that if I try something new, I will miss out on my favorite dish -- which defeats the whole point of coming here.

Scoma's - Our other favorite seafood restaurant on the Wharf. If you look in the photo from the post that spoke of our eating at Alioto's and look below the right side of the Golden Gate bridge, you'll see a little speck of an orange sign. That is where Scoma's is located. They also have a restaurant in Sausalito, although we've never been to this one.

Town's End Restaurant and Bakery - Another great place, that serves organic foods whenever possible and prepares them in a manner that is a step or two above the norm. We haven't been there for breakfast or lunch, but the dinners (and deserts) are well worth the trip.

The Parc 55 Hotel - This is our "home base" while we're in town.

Westfield San Francisco Centre - A multi-story shopping facility on very short block away from here, that usually gets a visit from us when we're in town. Way too many shops, way too little cash...

ImagiKnit - Probably the largest yarn shop in the city these days. Great selection of just about anything you'd need.

And that, in a nutshell, are some of the places we've been.
